Why we have Bad Strategic Thinkers
In 1958, Schelling introduced a novel way to demonstrate 2 x 2 payoff tables.
The notation was never adopted by game theorists.
Worse, Schelling never was able to convince a critical mass of strategic thinkers that using various game theory tools would improve their ability to explain their strategic ideas.
This theme, the appropriate level of abstraction, is one we will return to.
